Usage Battery displays Cluade Code and Codx usage limits on Mac and iPhone, with iPad support and widgets. It has no server operated by us. Provider sign-ins and usage requests go directly to Anthropic or OpenAI; Cluade Code usage numbers can also pass through your iCloud account.
What stays on your device
- Codx access and refresh tokens stay in the Keychain on the device where you sign in. Disconnecting a Codx account removes its token. Cached usage numbers, history and preferences use local system storage; an App Group shares usage numbers with widgets.
Network access
Cluade Code on Mac: the app reads the sign-in already stored by your Cluade Code CLI in the macOS Keychain, only to request usage and profile data from api.anthropic.com over HTTPS. It never changes, refreshes or copies that sign-in.
Codx on Mac and iPhone: you sign in to your ChatGPT account through OpenAI at auth.openai.com in your browser (browser sign-in on Mac, device-code sign-in on iPhone). The app reads usage limits from chatgpt.com/backend-api/wham/usage over HTTPS using its own locally stored token and refreshes the sign-in when needed. It does not read your ChatGPT conversations.
iCloud relay: Apple iCloud key-value storage carries Cluade Code usage numbers from your Mac to your iPhone or iPad on the same iCloud account. Tokens never enter iCloud key-value storage or reach the iPhone through this relay. Codx tokens are not synced through iCloud.
No third-party tracking
Usage Battery has no ads, no cross-app tracking and does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA). The app has no separate analytics or crash-reporting SDK.
Subscriptions
Purchases are handled entirely by Apple's StoreKit. We never see your payment details.

Contact
Questions about this policy: use the contact form. If you write to us through it, your name, email and message are sent through Web3Forms (a form-processing service) to reach us and are used only to answer you; the app itself never sends them.
