Data Collection

We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers.

HealthKit Data

The app accesses HealthKit data with your explicit permission. All health data:

  • Remains on your device
  • Is never transmitted to any server
  • Is used only for local calculations and display
  • Follows Apple's HealthKit privacy requirements

Google Health

If you choose to connect Google Health (for example, to use a Fitbit Air), you sign in with Google and the app requests read-only access to the following data through the Google Health API:

  • Heart rate, resting heart rate, respiratory rate, heart rate variability, and blood oxygen (SpO2), via the googlehealth.health_metrics_and_measurements.readonly scope
  • Sleep sessions and sleep stages, via the googlehealth.sleep.readonly scope
  • Steps, exercise and workouts, and calories, via the googlehealth.activity_and_fitness.readonly scope

This data:

  • Is downloaded directly from Google to your device
  • Is never transmitted to our servers or any third party
  • Is used only to calculate and display your stress level and health metrics, processed entirely on your device
  • Is never used for advertising, sold, or used to train AI models

Your Google sign-in is stored securely in the device Keychain. You can disconnect Google Health at any time in Settings, which revokes the app's access. You can also remove access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

NoStress's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements, and the Google Health API Developer and User Data Policy.

Local Storage

User preferences are stored locally on your device using standard iOS storage mechanisms.

Third-Party Services

The app uses Superwall for subscription management, which processes payments through the App Store. No personal data is shared with Superwall beyond what Apple provides for subscription verification.

Apple Watch

If you use the companion Apple Watch app, data is synced locally between your devices via Apple's Watch Connectivity framework. No data leaves your devices.

Analytics

We do not use analytics or tracking services.

Children's Privacy

The app does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children.
