I have just released my personal iOS app, Math Panda. It is a mental math quiz with visual hints and a friendly AI-powered character, a cute panda.

It is made for kids, but adults will find it useful too. The goal is the same for everyone: practice mental math in a fun way.

What is inside

Math Panda has three parts that work together.

• Quizzes with visual hints, so a child can see the numbers instead of only reading them.
• Tasks and analytics, so you can follow how practice is going.
• A chat with the panda, which answers any question.

AI handles the tasks, the quizzes, the analytics and the chat. The chat is built to be fully safe and kid-friendly.

Why a character

Math drills are dry. A friendly character gives a child someone to practice with. The panda explains, asks, and answers questions in a way a kid can follow.

Adults get the same practice. Quick mental arithmetic is a skill that fades if you do not use it, and a short quiz is an easy way to keep it.
